Research Readiness
Research Readiness is a one-credit course where you’ll discover how to find research opportunities that match your interests, build the skills needed to thrive in a lab or internship setting, and create a game plan for reaching your STEM degree goals. You’ll gain hands-on insight by shadowing a researcher in a real lab environment, connecting with STEM professionals and programs both on and off campus, and getting personalized support through one-on-one meetings with peer educators. Along the way, you’ll also complete short written reflections to help you grow as a future scientist, engineer, or innovator.
Who it's for: Community college transfer students enrolled in a fall semester STEM Learning Community or spring semester first-year ASEMS scholars
